Each spring (and sometimes in January) FAIA holds its annual Capitol Days, where agents learn first-hand about issues and legislation that could affect their business and the industry’s future, and help advance FAIA’s legislative goals by meeting with their legislators to share concerns or show support. Young Agents Council members arrive the day before for the YAC Political Summit.
Tuesday begins with an overview of FAIA's priority issues, where you'll learn everything you need to know to make the most of your time in Tallahassee, and ends with an out-of-this-world party with some of the best barbecue and fried seafood you will ever eat. Wednesday morning, we'll arm you with palm cards and position papers, and then head to the Capitol for meetings with legislators and staff.
FAIA has reserved a block of rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton. The room rate is $214 plus state and local taxes (12.5 percent). Self-parking is $12 a day; valet parking is $15 a day.
Reserve your room online or call 1-877-800-2652 and mention group code FAI or FAIA’s Capitol Days. The room cut-off date is December 22, 2017, or until all rooms in the block have been filled.
