Insurance Journal Spotlights Young Agents Council...click here for article Who is going to safeguard our industry future? We invite you to take a closer look at FAIA’s NEW Young Agents Council. We believe in strength through involvement and offer a community for young agents to develop leadership tools, participate in legislative issues, train for sales and management needs and communicate ideas with highly motivated, sharp minded people. FAIA’s Young Agents Council You just gotta join! How young are you? The group is open to ALL agency personnel less than 10 years in the business or under 40. Become a member to cultivate an arena for all young insurance professionals across the state to exchange our experiences of personal growth through education achievement, leadership development, legislative involvement and professional networking skills. Working with other insurance professionals allows us to discuss industry concerns, programs, sales and other insurance related topics with our colleagues. FAIA hosts several fun and exciting functions throughout the year including: FAIA Convention YAC night Special YAC sales classes Leadership forums Cocktail parties around the state Virtual newsletters Expectations for FAIA's Young Agents Council Members Be an active "spoken" voice. Give your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc. We are all volunteers and our council is a democracy. We need your input for new ideas, support and approval of council actions. Contributions to PACs, national INSURPAC and FAIA PAC. Preferred minimum of $100 annually. Work booths and other responsibilities as assigned for various events in which Young Agents Council participate. Join and be actively involved in a YAC task force. Support state universities, local schools and community colleges and other events the Young Agents Council are invited to, as you are able to attend. Act in a professional manner at all functions which you represent FAIA and the Young Agents Council. Integrity! Continue to develop energies and talents of Young Agents Council members to further the mission of FAIA. As an active YAC member, please participate in FAIA's industry recruitment efforts.
