ACSR IS ON THE VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY!Back To Education Home
Please note: While FAIA's online ACSR program qualifies you for the 4-40 license with no further testing, you will not have authority to handle insurance until you apply for and receive your actual 4-40 license from the Department of financial Services. Please also see our education library article for further information on licensing. *Note the L&H ACSR does not qualify you for any type of licensing! If you are not yet licensed, leave the section for license number BLANK. Never put someone else's license number in your profile. The ACSR designation qualifies you for the Customer Representative License (4-40) if you don't already have it, whether you choose Personal Lines or Commercial Lines. Even if you already have the ACSR, it has been updated sufficiently that you can take it again and get CE credit! (*Life & Health ACSR does not qualify you for any type of license.) We're pleased to tell you that with the new program there are several parts and a more in-depth learning opportunity. You may choose the Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, or *Life & Health ACSR designation. Whichever you choose, you must also take the "Account Development" sections (modules 4 & 5). The Account Development Section, required for all ACSR programs, includes: - ACSR Module 4: E&O Loss Control (FL DFS # 55401, approved for 4 hours intermediate general lines CE and for your E&O loss credit!)
- ACSR Module 5: Professional Development & Account Management (FL DFS # 55402, approved for 2 hours intermediate general lines CE)
The Personal Lines program has three modules: - ACSR Module 1: Homeowners Insurance (FL DFS #55398, approved for 5 hours intermediate general lines CE)
- ACSR Module 2: Personal Auto Insurance (FL DFS #55399, approved for 5 hours intermediate general lines CE)
- ACSR Module 3: Personal Lines Related Coverages (FL DFS # 55400, approved for 3 hours intermediate general lines CE)
The Commercial Lines program has four modules: - ACSR Module 6: Commercial Property Insurance (FL DFS # 59160, approved for 4 hours intermediate general lines CE)
- ACSR Module 7: Commercial Liability Insurance (FL DFS # 59161, approved for 4 hours intermediate general lines CE)
- ACSR Module 8: Commercial Automobile Insurance (FL DFS #59163, approved for 4 hours intermediate general lines CE)
- ACSR Module 9: Commercial lines related Coverages (FL DFS # 59164, approved for 5 hours intermediates general lines CE)
The Life & Health* program has three modules: - ACSR Module 10: Understanding Life Insurance and Determining Client Needs (FL DFS # 58106, approved for 4 hours intermediate Life Combo CE credit)
- ACSR Module 11: Understanding Health Insurance and Determining Client Needs (FL DFS # 58091, approved for 3 hours intermediate Health Combo CE credits)
- ACSR Module 12: Understanding Government, Disability & Long Term Care Insurance (FL DFS # 58594, approved for 3 hours intermediate Health Combo CE credit)
As always, you can expect the high quality online experience you expect from FAIA, with up-to-date information. You will have to create a new personal profile, since your new ACSR will be housed on the Virtual University (VU) instead of on the LearnSomething system. To go directly to the VU registration page: http://vu.iiaa.org/LMS. FOR CE ONLY: If you are taking the courses for CE only, you'll still take a non-proctored online exam. Even if you have taken ACSR before, these courses have been updated and have new DFS numbers, so you can take them again for CE. FOR THE DESIGNATION: If you want the designation, you still have to take a proctored test. The good news is that now you can take the proctored exams online, at your desk, for the designation. You will still need a proctor (your supervisor) to monitor the test and sign the affidavit that is provided in the course instructions. Be sure to follow the in course instructions for faxing the affidavits to FAIA so that we can mail you the letter you'll need for the FL DFS to grant your 4-40 license. (Of course, if you don't have your license yet we can't apply CE, but if you do have a 4-40 or 2-20 already you'll get the CE and the designation.) If you have any questions about any online courses, send an email to classroom@faia.com. Also available on the VU!! Non-CE courses in sales, computer and office skills: Consultative Negotiations, Consultative Selling, Consultative Selling Enrichment, Developmental Sales Coaching, Exceptional Customer Care, the Six Critical Sales Skills program, plus 90+ SkillSoft business, financial and Microsoft training courses.
