Conference Room Settings for Webinars Now Available!
Managers, FAIA webinars may be broadcast to several employees at once from your conference room! The DFS has advised the following:
"If the student is an employee of an agency or corporate entity, the student's supervisor or a manager or owner of the agency or corporate entity must also sign the sworn affidavit."
Therefore, FAIA has set up the following system to comply with this DFS concept.
1. Have each person register and pay for the course separately, as if they would be taking the class as usual at their desk.
2. At the time of the webinar, set up the system in your conference room and log into the webinar using any one of the students' registrations.
3. A manager must begin and end each webinar with the room of students, and spot check during the class to be sure they are paying attention.
4. At the attendance checks, someone in the room must respond! If the attendance check asks for names and DFS license numbers, please enter: all students' names and license numbers. (A Word document of attendees may be prepared in advance of the class, allowing this information to be copied and pasted into the question pane.)
5. At the end of the class, each student must print and sign the affidavit. Additionally, the supervising manager must sign the affidavit. Note: If there is a DFS audit of the class and the individual student does not show up in the attendance checks and there is not a manager's signature on the affidavit for "conference room setting," then CE will not be granted.
