Café de Marco — 394-6262 — 244 Palm Street in Old Marco. Café de Marco is well known for its vast array of fresh seafood, prepared daily. A house trademark is jumbo prawns, butterflied and seasoned with fresh herbs and spices, broiled in garlic sauce and served over saffron rise. Capt. Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar — 389-6900 — (Marco Walk). Capt. Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar is fun, fresh, and exciting with a real feel for an old seaside Inn. Capt. Brien's offers nightly entertainment with everything from an oyster eating competition to stand-up comedy. A full bar, daily happy hour is proudly presented, along with live music. Capt. Da Vinci Ristorante Italiano — 389-1888 — Marco Walk. The intimate setting of this restaurant gives the effect of a small, Italian home that has invited you in for a hearty meal. The menu is comprised of the old favorites like pasta, meats, and antipasti. The flavors are a fusion of northern, central, and southern Italian cooking. The portions are filling and come at a reasonable price. Famous Mel's — 394-7111 — 657 So. Collier Blvd. Quality and homemade southern dishes" are featured as owner Mel Slawik and Texas-bred Chef Chris DeGenova explained the new restaurant. "We are preparing barbecue, southern style, with attitude, a little different, great food," Slawik pointed out as he described Mel's Red Hot Chicken dish. "It is a half a chicken, marinated with French red hot, cooked on a wood-burning grill." The theme is all-American, with state flags hanging all over the building, a new bar, televisions, salad bar, dance floor and porch seating.

Guy Harvey's Island Grill — 642-2248 — (Esplanade). Cayman's most famous (and perhaps only) marine biologist, Guy Harvey, has lent his name to this restaurant, which serves up a wide range of seafood dishes, each with a bit of Caribbean influence. Salads are good to start, and the chef's preparations in Thai red curry are a delight. The decor makes a strong statement, with some of Guy's original works along the walls. Dine on the cozy inside or out with a view of the waterfront. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served.

Island Café — 394-7578 — 918 N. Collier Blvd. Marco Island's, Island Café, has served Creative and Classic Cuisine for over 20 years. Restaurant offers a romantic yet comfortable atmosphere for a true dining experience. Gourmet Menu features the highest quality ingredients, freshest seafood and expert preparation. Sale e Pepe — 393-1600 — 480 S. Collier Blvd.. This stand-alone restaurant, connected by a cobblestone walkway to the main building, offers a sense of Old World ambience and an Italian palazzo. The interior offers hand-painted frescos, Roman-style arches and private dining nooks. The menu echoes the chef's Piedmont roots, with entrees prepared from scratch daily. The kitchen crew creates its own handmade pasta from imported Italian flour.
