As a prelude to FAIA's Legislative Fly-In, March 10 & 11, and to emphasize the importance of this year's property insurance debate, we have attached two letters. The first is a personal attack by Sen. Mike Fasano (R, New Port Richey) on FAIA Chairman Bill Gunter, portions of which appeared in various Florida newspapers, followed by Chairman Gunter's response. They are here so you can use the facts enumerated therein to fashion letters to your local editors or to respond to inquiries regarding FAIA's proposal to deregulate residential property insurance: the Consumer Choice Bill. Hopefully, they will also help you see the gravity of the issues we face together during the upcoming legislative season.
Then,
As serious as property insurance issues are, they aren't the only problems we face. Other issues FAIA and its grassroots lobbying corps will address include amending the rating law to assist carriers in paying commissions as they choose, reducing MVR fees, mitigation inspection fraud, workers' compensation, and more.
The following links provide more information on other issues which materially impact your livelihood and which will appear on this year's Fly-In agenda (see below to register):
