Each spring (and sometimes in January) FAIA holds its annual Capitol Days, where agents learn first-hand about issues and legislation that could affect their business and the industry’s future, and help advance FAIA’s legislative goals by meeting with their legislators to share concerns or show support. Young Agents Council members arrive the day before for the YAC Political Summit.
Tuesday begins with an overview of FAIA's priority issues, where you'll learn everything you need to know to make the most of your time in Tallahassee, and ends with an out-of-this-world party with some of the best barbecue and fried seafood you will ever eat. Wednesday morning, we'll arm you with palm cards and position papers, and then head to the Capitol for meetings with legislators and staff.
Check out the agenda for specific details of each day. Young Agents: Visit the YAC section for the Political Summit schedule.
Registration is $50 and covers Tuesday night
dinner, breakfast Wednesday, meeting materials, and a long-sleeve dress shirt (check it out below) for Wednesday's visit with legislators. Attendees are responsible for all
other expenses, including travel and hotel. February 17 was the last day to register to receive your shirt.
