Capitol Days & YAC Political Summit

March 19–20, 2019, DoubleTree by Hilton, Tallahassee

Though the 2019 Legislative Session officially begins March 5, FAIA’s work is already well underway. As in years’ past, assignment of benefits reform tops our legislative priority list—but this year, the momentum and politics are on our side. That’s why your participation in FAIA’s Capitol Days is so important. Nothing moves lawmakers more than hearing directly from the people who know how bills affect the industry and consumers.

Held each year, Capitol Days is where agents learn first-hand about issues and legislation that could affect their business and the industry’s future, and help advance FAIA’s legislative goals by meeting with their legislators to share concerns or show support.

Young Agents Council members arrive a day earlier on Monday, March 18 for the YAC Political Summit, designed to introduce Florida's young agents to political action committees and the political process, and put that knowledge into practice by dialing for InsurPac dollars and meeting with legislators to help advance FAIA's legislative goals.
