Certified Insurance Counselors

The Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Program has been the insurance industry's premier, proven source for practical, real-world education since 1969. Earning the Designation
You must successfully complete five CIC courses and pass five exams within five calendar years. To earn the designation, participants must score 70% or better on the two-hour, essay style exam.

Scholarships are available for participants who are employed full-time in the insurance or risk management industry. It is recommended that the applicant has a minimum of two years industry experience. The scholarship only provides the registration fee – no additional expenses. Scholarships applications should be submitted by June 1st and December 1st and will be awarded by the end of that month.The scholarship must be used within 12 months of receiving the award.

- Personal Lines: Develop a strong personal lines book of business and growing commission income with this comprehensive course.
Each institute is 16 hours of instruction, followed by an online exam the following Monday - Thursday. Examinations are optional unless you wish to earn the CIC designation.

Registration Information
Register for CIC classes by following the class link. If you are not already in the FAIA database, you must first request a login before you can register. After you complete the request, an email will be gerenated for you to create a password so you may register. If you need help with registration, contact Christy Stacey.
