All FAIA agency members have access to a 10-hour webinar-based course catalog as part of their membership. This member benefit, developed at the direction of FAIA’s Board of Directors, provides an added value of $250 for every licensed employee at your agency. Each course is offered monthly via webinar throughout the year.
Course Catalog Details
The complimentary 10-hour webinar-based course catalog includes the following courses:
- Four-Hour Law and Update Course
This course is required of every licensed P&C agent and customer representative during each two-year compliance period. The course covers recent legislation, ethics, insurance law and regulations, and wind mitigation.
- General Liability Policy Overview 1.0
This course provides a concise overview of the Commercial General Liability (CGL) policy, covering key components like coverage types (Occurrence vs. Claims-made), definitions (e.g., bodily injury, property damage), and coverage areas (A, B, and C). It explores exclusions, supplementary payments, limits of liability, and who qualifies as an insured. Participants will also learn about important conditions such as duties in the event of a claim, primary/excess insurance, and the structure of a CGL policy. This session is perfect for those seeking to understand the essentials of general liability insurance.
- Financial Services Concepts for Property/Casualty Agents
This course covers essential financial services concepts for property and casualty agents, including life insurance, annuities, retirement planning (IRAs), healthcare options (ACA, HSA), long-term care, disability income, and employee benefits. It also explores social insurance programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Ideal for agents looking to expand their knowledge of financial products and their role in comprehensive insurance planning.
- Educating Client With Savvy Personal Lines Knowledge
Most popular movies come in a trilogy, continuing education classes are no exception. Come experience part three in the “Confused Client” series. In this class we will simplify the topics that our client needs to be aware of and make them aware of the coverage gaps that they could be facing. Topics include Additional Insureds, Vacant Land, and the ever-popular Company Cars and the PAP. Let’s put our clients at ease with this important dose of personal lines knowledge.
