Education Member Benefit
All FAIA agency members have access to a 10-hour webinar-based course catalog as part of their membership. This member benefit, developed at the direction of FAIA’s Board of Directors, provides an added value of $250 for every licensed employee at your agency. Each course is offered monthly via webinar throughout the year.
Course Catalog Details
The complimentary 10-hour webinar-based course catalog includes the following courses:
- Four-Hour Law and Update Course: This course is required by every licensed P&C agent and customer representative during each two-year compliance period. The course will cover recent legislation, ethics, insurance law and regulations, and wind mitigation.
- Two-Hour Personal Lines Course: This course covers topics your clients don't think about when it comes to insurance coverage. Common scenarios like who is an insured, the kids away at college, living with non-relatives, driving autos you do not own, and storing your stuff will be discussed. Who knows; we may even discuss your clients’ favorite subject ... trees.
- Two-Hour Commercial Property and General Liability Course: This course takes a general look at business income/extra expense, ordinance and law, and offer some tips to address insurance to value (including blanket coverage and margin clause) and coinsurance issues. It will also review some common roofing endorsements appearing in the market, explore the ISO cannabis endorsements, review some ways to address the additional insured issues associated with contracting and non-contracting risks, and revisit the principles associated with cyber risk coverage (including a common misunderstanding about the CGL and cyber risk) as well as the new liquor liability changes to the CGL program.
- Two-Hour Commercial Automobile and Misc. Lines Course: This course contains a review of the basic rating elements of the business auto form and a look at some of the more common auto endorsements as well as a top five “Did You Know” commercial auto insurance principles examination. For miscellaneous lines, the course will cover active shooter topics, drone issues, and intentional acts/warranty statements associated with the professional liability products FAIA provides. The class will conclude with some updates regarding parametric coverage.
