Convert Your 4-40 License 

The FAIA education team has developed three options for 4-40 licensees to convert to either a 2-20 license or a 20-44 license. Each of these options allows participants to work at their own pace.

FAIA Academy: 2-20 Edition (General Lines)

The FAIA Academy: 2-20 Edition offers the structure and support to get agents ready to sit for their 2-20 exam. Over the course of these four weeks, our award-winning education team will provide exclusive live support, study materials, a sample schedule, and a dedicated online study group. The course tests your knowledge along the way with short quizzes after each section. The FAIA Academy 2-20 Edition is $400 for members and $600 for non-members.

FAIA Academy: 20-44 Edition (Personal Lines Only)

The 20-44 Academy includes on-demand webinars, a study manual, sample schedule, weekly Zoom calls with FAIA's education team, and an online study group. The Academy includes a sample schedule and four weeks of online support from our education team, but agents can register at any point during the month and work at their own pace. The course tests your knowledge along the way with short quizzes after each section. The FAIA Academy: 20-44 Edition is $250 for members and $350 for non-members.

On-Demand Only Options

Both courses are also available as stand-alone on-demand courses. These on-demand options give agents the flexibility to work independently and on their own schedule. The course tests your knowledge along the way with short quizzes after each section.

• The 40-Hour Conversion class stand-alone on-demand course is available for $350 for members and $450 for non-members. Important note: After completing the on-demand webinar, students will be given an electronic exam consisting of 105 questions that must be passed with a score of 70 percent or higher. Once students complete all the webinars and pass the exam, a Certificate of Completion will be awarded and will qualify the student to sit for the state exam. Once the student passes the state exam and converts the 4-40 license to a 2-20 license, the agent will then be able to transact insurance OUTSIDE of the agency.

• The 20-44 Conversion class stand-alone on-demand course is available for $200 for members and $300 for non-members.
