About the Folds of Honor Foundation

In 2020, we celebrate our tenth year supporting The Folds of Honor Foundation! Folds of Honor was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, a former F-16 pilot, golf course owner, PGA professional and USGA member. A Major in the Air National Guard and a decorated military aviator, Rooney has served three combat tours in Iraq. After returning from his second tour, Major Rooney witnessed a profound situation that drove him to create the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with support and opportunities by providing educational scholarships and assistance to children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.

There are more than one million dependents of fallen and wounded military service men and women from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts alone and 87 percent do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance (as of January 2012). The Folds of Honor Foundation wants to help ensure that no family is left behind in the field of battle, making sure that we honor their sacrifice and educate their legacy.

Thank you to our Golf Tournament sponsors!
