Course Catalog Details

The complimentary 10-hour webinar-based course catalog includes the following courses:

  • 4- hour Law and Ethics Update
This class covers informative and timely topics, including agency licensing, unaffiliated insurance agents, customer representatives, unlicensed personnel, and the always entertaining fees and unlawful inducements. Join us for a lively discussion of these topics and many others. You’ll leave the class with a greater knowledge of insurance licensing rules and laws, and you may find yourself wishing the class were eight hours instead of four.

  • Wind Insurance & Wind Mitigation
This course will examine the nuances of Florida law related to wind insurance and exclusions and will also explore the revised OIR Form 1802. The class also includes the discounts available to policyholders who strengthen their homes to mitigate wind-related losses.

  • Guiding the Client to Personal Lines Comprehension
This class is part four in our “Confused Client Series.” It will explain coverages that clients may not understand, didn’t know they had, or thought they had. The topics included are water damage, loss assessments, and in-home businesses. So, before that awkward conversation happens at claim time, get ahead of it by ensuring your clients know what coverages and exclusions are in their policy.

  • Business Auto 1.0
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the Business Auto Form. Topics begin with the declarations and the form’s use of covered auto designation symbols, which are quite unique, and proceed to liability coverage, including named and automatic insureds, as well as coverage extensions and exclusions. Given the complexity of general liability vs. auto liability, several claim examples will be presented with analysis to determine whether the claims fall under general liability or auto liability. Under the physical damage portion of the policy, the class reviews the specified perils in relation to the more well-known comprehensive and collision coverages. Physical damage exclusions and the applicable limits, subject to any deductible, will be examined. Before closing, the class will review loss conditions and general conditions. This session is valuable for individuals just starting out, as it provides a detailed introduction to the policy form, while also serving as a great review for those with more experience.
