Nearly 1,400 independent agencies participated in Year One. Now, the largest-of-its-kind study is back, with an even bigger goal for Year Two.

Last year, independent agencies across the country showed there was real demand for better industry data. Nearly 1,400 agencies completed Agency Compensation 360, contributing more than 15,000 individual position data points and creating the largest sample base for a study of its kind.

For a first-year study built specifically for the independent insurance agency channel, the response was a major success. And if your agency did not participate last year - or you are hearing about Agency Compensation 360 for the first time - Year Two is your opportunity to get in.

What Is Agency Compensation 360?

Agency Compensation 360 is a national compensation, benefits, and workforce study designed specifically for independent insurance agencies. Participating agencies gain immediate access to an interactive analytics dashboard that turns the aggregated survey responses into a much broader view of the independent agency workforce.

What can participating agencies explore?

·       Compensation and commission structures across a wide range of agency roles

·       Benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid family leave, and other offerings

·       PTO structures and workplace policies

·       Staffing levels, workforce trends, and expected staffing changes

·       Remote and flexible work practices

·       Producer compensation structures

·       Outsourcing and operational practices

What Year One Revealed About Agency Benefits and Workforce Practices

The Year One results show how much there is to explore beyond compensation alone. Among participating agencies, 63.8% reported offering group health insurance, and 52.2% reported offering a 401(k). The study also captured data on PTO, remote work, staffing models, outsourcing, producer structures, and dozens of agency roles.

An Interactive Dashboard

The interactive dashboard makes the data even more useful by allowing participants to filter aggregated results by factors such as state, agency size, number of employees, line of business, and employee role, where reporting thresholds are met. That gives agency leaders the ability to view the data through the lens most relevant to their organization.

Confidential Reporting

Your agency's individual responses are also confidential. Employee names are not required, individual agency responses are not identified in the results, and dashboard results are presented only in aggregate.

Why participate now? Because the value of this resource grows as participation grows. Nearly 1,400 agencies helped launch Comp 360 in Year One. For Year Two, the goal is 2,000+ participating agencies, creating an even broader picture of the independent agency channel and stronger representation across states and agency types.

If you missed Agency Compensation 360 last year, do not sit this one out. Complete the survey, add your agency's perspective, and unlock the full interactive dashboard.
